Planning & Preparing for a Top-Mount Sink Installation

In this lesson, you'll learn how to evaluate an existing tiled-in undermount sink and prepare it for conversion to a modern top-mount sink. Complete each step in order, using the installation manual and checklist as you progress.

Determine whether the existing sink can be converted and verify that the replacement sink will properly cover the opening.

Objective:

Safely disconnect the drain, disposer, faucet, dishwasher connection and water supplies.
