Q1. Can I replace my existing undermount sink?

Q2. Will my granite, quartz, tile, be damaged during installation?

No, your new sink can be safely removed without any countertop damage.

Q3. What size sink do I need to order?

This depends on the countertop cut out. The majority of sinks measure 33" x 22". Some faucets are mounted on top of the counter and others are mounted on the deck of the sink itself. In most cases, a professional will need to come and measure and inspect the existing sink and installation. The main requirement is that the sink bowl or bowls fit as closely to the cutout as possible.

Q4. What choices of material are sinks made of?

Sinks are made with stainless steel, cast iron, granite composite, steel etc.

Q5. Can I replace my double bowl sink with a single bowl sink?

Yes, both under mount and top mount sinks can be converted to a single bowl.

Yes, most sinks are designated either dual or under mount and top mount.

Q6. What accessories do I need to purchase?

Depending on whether you choose a single basin or double basin you will need, Garbage disposal, strainer, airgap, faucet, and shut off valves.

Q7. Can I use my existing accessories?

Yes, but it depends on the condition. Usually, the faucet needs to be replaced.

Q8. How long does it take to replace my sink?

The time for installation depends on whether its top mounted or undermounted and whether it's tiled in or if the sink is sandwiched or wooded in with a sub top. The average time for a wooded in undermount is 4-6 hours and possibly 5-7 depending on the difficulty.

Q9. Can I replace a tiled in sink?

It depends on the width and type of tile installation. The best case is when there are 1/4" edge tiles and the total width does not exceed 32" x 21". The new sink can only cover 33" x 22".

Q10. What are farm sinks?

Farm sinks have a front apron that stick out from the countertop and cabinet

Q11. Can I replace my existing sink with a farm sink?

Yes, However, you most likely will need to modify your cabinet, cabinet doors, and cut and polish your countertops. In most cases it is cost prohibitive. The majority of customers elect to replace with a single bowl sink.

Q12. What is the installation cost?

This depends on each installation and the difficulty and time to remove the existing sink. The range can be from $600 to $1250.
